James M. Barry

Jim Barry is a practical, “hands on” lawyer who focuses on helping clients resolve disputes. Jim’s practice includes civil litigation, commercial litigation, insurance and employment law. Jim brings to his clients a wealth of real world experience.

A life-long resident of Saint John, Jim worked in the automotive parts after-market field and in music before returning to school. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 1998 where he earned prizes in legal writing, moot court program and trial advocacy.

He began his law career in Saint John and has since gained considerable experience in civil actions, and has successfully presented a number of cases to the New Brunswick Court of Appeal. At the end of the day he resides with his wife and two daughters in west Saint John, where he still finds time to play a little music on the side, pursue his interests in electrical, mechanical and carpentry work and try to improve his golf game.
