Born in Cheshire, England, Anne emigrated with her family at a young age, to settle on the west coast of Canada. After graduating from high school in Ontario, Anne spent 5 years working in the banking industry before embarking on a legal career.

In 1979 she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Brunswick in Saint John and her law degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1982. She was admitted to the New Brunswick bar in 1983.

Anne is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association and she is the Secretary of the O’Brien Foundation. She has also been an instructor for the New Brunswick Law Society Bar Admission Course on Wills and Civil Procedure.

Anne enjoys country life in Brown’s Flat on the beautiful St. John River with her husband, Jim. Amongst other things, they both have a keen interest in short term missions work, with a particular fondness for visiting and working with the people of Guatemala.
